12-23-09 Visiting Santa

We were invited to take the kids up to my Mom's work to see Santa, and even though we had already visited him at Bass Pro Shop, I decided to take them. It was good because each kid got to sit on his lap (whereas all 3 of mine sat together before), and they each got to spend some time talking to him.

And Sarah ~ the funny thing about this...Sarah had been very naughty and we had been telling her Santa wouldn't be happy. When we got to my Mom's work, Mom told Sarah "You better not lie to Santa because he'll know." So she sat on Santa's lap and he asked her if she has been good, and she just about burst into tears and said "NOOOO. But I am trying to be!" They had a very long and serious conversation. So in the pictures where she looks like she is scared, she really isn't. She is just upset because she had to tell santa she was bad. And afterwards, Santa was walking around telling everyone Merry Christmas. My Mom asked him how many kids told him they had been bad, and he said only one. LOL
