8-25-13 Grandma's 90th Birthday!

In August, my Mom's Mom turned 90. We had a big party with about 80 people! I got to see family I haven't seen in 20+ years. It was a great time, and Grandma is still talking about it 2 months later. For the kids and I, it was a really fast trip due to soccer and school and everything else. We left Saturday morning, after Sarah's first soccer game. My brother-in-law and nephew rode with us, as my sister rode out with my Mom the day before. We got in about 6pm and went straight to my Grandma's house. The kids and I got a hotel room because there were so many people out there. We got back to the hotel about 920, and the kids begged to go for a swim. Because I have been trying to "let go" of some things, rather than telling them "no, it's late, you need to go to bed," I took them to the pool for 30 minutes. That made their night. The party was Sunday. We left early Monday to head back home. Anna had a great time!

Growing up, we often too pictures of all of the cousins in front of this tree. We were missing a couple of them, but it was still fun to do.

And we also took one with our cousins from Ohio.

We also took some with the great grandkids. Again we were missing some, and clearly Sarah wasn't happy about having her picture taken. Oh well.
