The Circus came to town, and Price Chopper hosted a "feeding the elephants" event. So after skating that morning, Sarah and I went downtown so we could watch. It was a lot of fun to watch them eating whole watermelons and cantaloupes. The had some entertainment with a couple of clowns, and a Wizards player was also there. Of course, the protesters had to be there too. The elephants that were there were pretty old ~ the oldest two were 53 and the youngest was 26.

One clown and the Wizards player had a banana eating contest, which was pretty funny. The elephants eating
This summer we went to a concert and I won tickets to the Chiefs Faith and Family Game. We took the boys (we left Sarah with Grandma since I only had 4 tickets, and we figured she would enjoy it the least of everyone) and they got to have their first tailgating experience as well as their first time at a pro game. Zachary was very excited, and Daddy even bought him a foam finger and Joshua a Chiefs' Yearbook (both much to my dismay). We stayed about halfway through the 3rd quarter, the weather was absolutely gorgeous, and we had a great time.
Joshua started 4th Grade and Zachary started 2nd Grade. Sarah is always so sad when the boys go off to school, so Grandma bought her a present to open on the first day.
I always take pictures of the kids in the morning, and every year I walk the boys to their class and take a picture. I tell Joshua that I don't care if it bothers him (which it doesn't), but I am going to do it for as long as I want. It's my prerogative as his mother.
We went to Colorado over the 4th of July weekend. On the 4th, it was wild! There were thunderstorms, tornados and lots of hail. We had about 4 rounds of hail and it was really deep. It was unlike anything I had ever seen.
Because of the storms, the kids had to roast their marshmallows on the stove instead of over a fire.
We got to meet up with my friend Sheila. I met Sheila on a message board for babies born in December of 2000, so we've known each other about 10 years now. We always try to meet up with her when we are in Colorado. I didn't get pictures with her girls, but We took a few pictures at the park.
We got to spend a lot of time with family too. The kids especially enjoyed the food!
I am a stay at home Mom to 4 kiddos and cannot imagine doing anything different. I am married to my high school sweetheart since June 1999. We have Joshua (12/17/00), Zachary (3/18/03), Sarah (3/27/06) and Anna (10/20/10)
